How EECP Works

Nitric Oxide Improves Arteries.
The squeezing mechanism of EECP improves the hemodynamics of blood flow and shear stress to help elevate levels of nitric oxide and vascular endothelial growth factor from the endothelium (lining of the arterial walls). Nitric oxide is a vasodilator that opens and relaxes arteries to help improve circulation. During EECP nitric oxide contributes to less arterial stiffness and improved function of endothelial cells.
