How EECP Works

EECP works by pumping blood from the legs upward to the heart while the heart is at rest. The mechanism improves circulation throughout the body, promotes angiogenesis, and has long-term, positive effects.

1

You lie on a comfortable EECP bed.

2

You are hooked to a heart monitor.

3

Three large blood pressure like cuffs wrap around the calves, thighs, buttocks.

4

When the heart pumps, the cuffs deflate rapidly and do not interfere with the body's natural function.

5

When the heart is at rest, the cuffs squeeze the calves thighs and buttocks in rapid sequence.

Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP) Is Non-Surgical

EECP Therapy is a safe, simple non-invasive, outpatient therapy option for patients suffering from ischemic heart diseases such as angina and heart failure. EECP improves the flow of healthy, oxygenated blood to the heart by opening or forming small blood vessels called collaterals which create natural bypasses blocked arteries.

What Is EECP?

During EECP therapy a set of inflatable cuffs (similar to blood pressure cuffs) mechanically compress the blood vessels in your lower limbs. This increases the blood flow and oxygen back to the heart, reducing the work that the heart has to do. It also improves circulation and strengthens the cardiopulmonary system. EECP does not have the risks or recovery time associated with surgery. It is FDA-approved, Medicare-approved and covered by insurance.

Why Would You Have EECP?

EECP is the only non-invasive treatment for coronary artery disease, angina and congestive heart failure. The procedure reduces or eliminates angina, increases energy and helps patients return to a more active lifestyle. EECP is used to treat patients with: o   Chronic stable angina (lack of blood to the heart that causes severe chest pains) o   Coronary Artery Disease o   High Blood Pressure o   Congestive heart failure o   Heart Attack o   Cardiovascular Disease At Global Cardio Centers we have helped hundreds of thousands of patients since 20002 improve their cardiovascular function. Our physicians see improvement as a result of EECP for people suffering from stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure, angina/chest pain, heart failure, heart attack, and diseases like obesity, kidney failure, eye disease, and more.

EECP is a Treatment for the Following Diseases or Conditions:

  • Angina Pectoris
  • Fatigue
  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Hypertension
  • Poor Circulation
  • Stroke
  • Sports Enhancement
  • Diabetes
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Peripheral artery disease
  • Quality of Life
  • Leg pain
  • Exercise Duration and Increased Stamina
  • Renal Failure

Improvement From EECP

People may experience the following direct benefit after 35 hours or more of EECP treatment:
  • Reduces arterial stiffness
  • Increases collateral circulation
  • Improves organ dysfunction
  • Creates new blood vessels
  • Improves blood flow to the brain
  • Stimulates natural bypass
  • Strengthens heart and cardiovascular system
  • Grows new arteries
  • Increases lymphatic circulation
  • Regenerates organs and tissue
  • Reverses effects of heart disease: inhibits plaque buildup, increases stem cells, acts as anti-inflammatory, increases nitric oxide
  • Enhances quality of life (less fatigue, better sleep, more stamina, longer exercise duration, reduced stress, passive exercise benefit as from one hour of aerobics)
  • Improves longevity with anti-aging effects
  • Decreases anxiety and depression
  • Antioxidant and detoxification effects

EECP Worldwide

There are more than 900 academic institutions and independent physician practices throughout the U.S. and the world that use EECP therapy for cardiovascular disease. They include:
  • Mayo Clinic
  • St. Francis Heart Hospital
  • Beth Israel Medical Center
  • University of New York at Stony Brook
  • The Cleveland Clinic
  • NYU-Langone Medical Center
  • University of California Los Angeles
  • University of California San Diego
  • Duke University Medical Center
  • University of Pittsburgh Medical Center

Nitric oxide is a vasodilator that opens and relaxes arteries to improve circulation.

Nitric Oxide Improves Arteries.

The squeezing mechanism of EECP improves the hemodynamics of blood flow and shear stress to help elevate levels of nitric oxide and vascular endothelial growth factor from the endothelium (lining of the arterial walls). Nitric oxide is a vasodilator that opens and relaxes arteries to help improve circulation. During EECP nitric oxide contributes to less arterial stiffness and improved function of endothelial cells.

Vascular endothelial growth factor is a hormone elevated during EECP.

Grow New Arteries with VEGF

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a hormone elevated during EECP that helps stimulate angiogenesis, the growth of new collaterals for blood flow around blockages, like a NaturalBypass®. EECP helps grow new arteries naturally and improves arterial function.

Regenerative therapy is the process of replacing or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore normal function.

Regenerative Therapy

Regenerative therapy is the process of replacing or regenerating human cells, tissues or organs to restore or establish normal function. During EECP therapy, due to the blood flow, stem cells (progenitor and hematopoietic cells) found in bone marrow are excreted into the circulatory system resulting in repair of organ dysfunction. For example, patients with diabetes often see improved function of the pancreas when EECP therapy REGENERATES PANCREATIC TISSUE TO PRODUCE INSULIN.

The Sara Soulati Method™ of EECP should be done EARLY, OFTEN and for LIFE.

As part of The Sara Soulati Health For Life Program™ clients are treated for 35 hours or longer for cardiovascular disease and a variety of other illness.

At Global Cardio Care centers, EECP therapy (35 hours or more) is for cardiovascular disease and much more. EECP grows new arteries, repairs and restores function of diseased organs, improves blood circulation, and increases energy. Disclaimer: Patient outcomes may vary; some results are anecdotal.
