Dean Chiaro is Chief Clinical Officer at Global Cardio Care Clinics

Dean has a long and impressive career in EECP. He trained with Sara Soulati at Cardiac Renewal in 2001, and he has been working alongside Sara since then delivering EECP patient care for cardiovascular disease and a variety of other illness. Currently, he directs clinic operations at Global Cardio Care Centers and maintains active participation in emergency medicine working as a technician at Garfield Medical Center's emergency room. His extensive knowledge in EECP therapy began in 1999 as an EECP technician, followed by a lead technician and clinical manager. With licenses and certificates in CPR, basic life support, and EKG interpretation, Dean is highly trained in various areas of the delivery of health care services.

 

Morad “Mo” Soulati is Chief Financial Officer

Morad Soulati joined Global Cardio Care in 2004 and prior to that worked for10 years in business and customer service having worked in such positions in cellular technology retail operations. Morad has held direct sales and management positions in which he was oriented to operational profitability. At Global Cardio Care, he directs billing operations for the company and works to ensure patient medical services are billed to appropriate insurance providers. Morad's earned expertise in EECP insurance claims and billing since 2004 provides him with leading knowledge in this sector. He works with the largest physician practice associated with EECP to ensure patients are well represented when seeking reimbursement for medical services. He was promoted to chief financial officer in summer 2011.

Mark Rivera is Senior Director of Client Services

Mark Rivera joined Global Cardio Care in 2005. Since his arrival to the company, Mark speaks to community groups throughout the Los Angeles area about the importance of a healthier lifestyle with EECP. Mark directs a department that responds to patient inquiries and also is responsible for outreach education to various groups. His daily work is at the grassroots level, one church at a time, to spread the message about the Global Cardio Care Gift of Life program. Under the direction of Sara Soulati, Mark learned about EECP. He has been a student of Franklin Murphy, MD, cardiologist at UCLA and John Hui, MD, one of the pioneers of EECP. In 2006 he became certified by Vasomedical, Inc. as an EECP technician.

 

Scott Griffen is Senior Director of Client and Physician Relations

As director of the Sara Soulati Gift of Life Program, Scott Griffen meets personally with patients to educate them about the program, discuss insurance options and program costs, coach them about the necessity of EECP treatment to improve disease, and to enhance a healthy lifestyle. Scott ensures the highest standards of health care delivery are met for each patient enrolled in the Global Cardio Care Program. Since 2002, Scott has worked as a certified EECP technician. He has worked in many different clinical positions delivering EECP treatment to patients. His previous employment began in 1992 in an emergency room setting followed by work as a clinical manager for a dialysis clinic in Hawaii. He previously worked alongside Sara Soulati learning the benefits of EECP first hand. Scott attended the University of Hawaii as an undergraduate studying allied health.

 

Joshua Mac Ferrin, Clinical Manager

Joshua Mac Ferrin joined Global Cardio Care Centers in September 2007, bringing more than 15 years in health care experience to the clinic. As Clinical Manager, he is responsible for the patient-centric delivery of care for those seeking EECP treatment.

Working directly with the clinical director, Josh works one-to-one with patients including lifestyle coaching about nutrition, exercise and weight loss. In addition, he wraps and monitors patients during EECP treatment to track vitals, ensure patient comfort and to coach about positive lifestyle changes. Josh manages staffing and scheduling as well as administrative work pertaining directly to patient care. Prior, Josh worked as a hemodialysis technician at West Coast Dialysis in Long Beach. He brings skills as an emergency medical technician to Global Cardio Care Centers.

 

Fahmi Youssouf Abdillahi, Clinical Manager

Fahmi joined Global Cardio Care Centers as clinical manager in 2007. His training as an EECP therapist, nutritional advisor and coach allows him to give clients instant feedback on their health and lifestyle. He coaches people to help them understand the power of EECP, and he encourages the adoption of better nutrition and exercise.

Fahmi is proud to work alongside Sara Soulati, his mentor and EECP coach. He sees the difference that Global Cardio Care Centers is making on peoples’ lives. Many clients are overweight or obese and never or seldom exercise. Coupled with pre-existing medical conditions, clients are in need of one-to-one coaching to help them adopt a healthier lifestyle. After 10 treatments of EECP, Fahmi has seen firsthand how clients reduce blood pressure, weight reduction, increased energy, reduced sugar levels, and even a reduction in blood cholesterol.

Fahmi graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in Wisconsin with associates degrees in liberal arts and television/video production.
